standard manufactured by Astre Systems. The waveguide diplexer can be seen over the top of
the transmitter cabinet. This transmitter was setup to operate either klystron in
multiplex (common mode) and switch between either tube in less than one minute. The
transmitter is on the ground floor of the State TV Center in Shenyang, Liaoning Province,
China (about 450 miles NE of Beijing). The concrete and steel tower rises 1,000 feet above
the ground. The channel K-15 antenna is fed with 6-inch flexible cablewave cable and
shares the top position with a K-21 antenna.
