Considerations of Blower and
Air Filter Modifications

The ceiling fan(s) is removed from the ceiling and mounted on a new mounting enclosure over the existing air inlet at the lower rear of the cabinet. The existing air filter is removed. A new filter holder bracket is installed on the outside of the cabinet. The existing fans can be reused if functional. New washable "electrostatic" air filters are strongly recommended to be used. In some variations of Townsend transmitters, the air into the internal mounted cavity blower is supplied from the left-hand side through a filter arrangement that may need to be modified. This modification can usually be done in 1-2 hours per cabinet
